Easing Access to Finance through Agriculture Value Chain Financing in poultry (AVCF)

In the framework of the “Sustainable Economic Development in Rural Areas” program in Nepal (SEDRA), funded by the German Development Bank KfW, Global IME Bank and Shreenagar Agro Farm have signed the partnership agreement on agricultural value chain financing (AVCF). The AVCF business model is designed and implemented with the assistance of the Swiss-based consultancy Business and Finance Consulting (BFC).

The partnership agreement is a continuous effort to support development and financing of the MSME sector in Nepal. Specifically, farmers, entrepreneurs will be offered an opportunity to access financing from Global IME Bank for high quality input supplies and technical services from Shreenagar Group. The AVCF will be piloted in Kathmandu valley and Rupandehi district and expanded to other areas based on its initial outcome.
