Nepal Agricultural Market Development Programme, branded as Sahaj, is a market development project that aims to contribute to increasing the income of poor men and women in rural areas. It does this by facilitating changes in services, inputs and product markets, which in turn increases the competitiveness of farmers and small enterprises. Sahaj is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) under the Agreement between Governments of Nepal and Switzerland.
Under this partnership, Shreenagar Agro Farm will work with farmers of Belaka Municipality by providing them with knowledge on post-harvest handling practices and procuring maize grain for them. The broad objectives of this collaboration are to promote maize cultivation commercialization in Belaka Municipality in Public Private Partnership model by strengthening the input, service and product market.
