Over a decade, SAF has become a one stop solution for farmers, delivering quality products and providing dedicated technical services and managerial support. Our integrated services comprise broiler and layer breeder farms, hatcheries producing the impetus to day old chicks(DOC), commerciallayer farms, poultry and animal pellet feed plant, hatcheries and nurseris for fries and fingerlings, floating fish feed from extrusion plant, and distribution of commercial table eggs and fish. This working modality together with farmers, traders, services providers and all the involved stakeholderss have provided impetus to the overall sector growth.

Our breeder farms, hatcheries and feed mills are located in Rupandehi and Palpa districts to serve the country from west to east.


We beleive farmers are our most valued assets and focus on supporting them with best inputs, trainings and feedback to transform their hard work into best results. We provide complete package to build their capacities and make them self-reliant. By empowering the farmers and linking them to markets, we aim to enhance their life for better

For sustainable development of farmers, we have been working on market development and access to finance and insurance


We are committed to the development of the communities we work with. We have provided direct employment to more than 170 locals,especially to marginalized women and disbled across the villages in our farms.

Working closely together with the farmers, we have been pioneered efforts to creating hundreds of rural agri-entrepreneurs and have been sharing the growth successfully. Lately, we have been providing chicks and eggs to families in rural Nepal for balanced nutrition.

Project: Skills for Employment Programme Nepal - सीप

Partnership with: UK Aid

Partnership Description:

Shreenagar is a pioneer company in producing Day Old Chicks (DOC) and animal feed in Nepal. Shreenagar has been providing farmers with quality chicks, feed and embedded technical services since 2002. Shreenagar has recently launched its new services by establishing Shree Kisan Innovation Hub : Knowledge and Skill Development Center, which is a skill training center providing industry-relevant training to youth, including farmers, to increase productivity, improve work-readiness, and enable job placements or starting of a new business. The training centre is based out of Butwal (Province 5) and will prioritize trainees/beneficiaries from Province 5, but open to interested trainees from anywhere in Nepal.

Shreenagar has partnership with national and international research, academic, and vocational training institutes likes of Cobb School USA, Lohmann School Germany, Alltech Pvt. Ltd USA, Aqua Vet consulting India and Wageningen University, Netherlands. Our national partners include AFU, HICAST. Similarly, the training center, will coordinate with potential employers like entrepreneurs, production companies, associations etc. to enable job placements.


Project: Partnering in Creating Market and Access for eggs to promote One-Egg-A-Day Campaign in Nepal

Partnership with: Baliyo Nepal Nutrition Initiative Limited

Partnership Description:

Shreenagar is working together with Baliyo Nepal on increasing the accessibility and affordability of eggs in the country as a part of the Baliyo Nepal project with an initial launch in Province 5. Baliyo Nepal is a movement for helping Nepal reach its Multi-Sector National Plan 2018-2022 goal i.e. reducing malnutrition-based stunting from 36% to 15%. Shreenagar and Baliyo Nepal assist each other for taking actions to increase the production of eggs and making them available in the market at competitive prices to help reduce nutritional deficiencies with impact at scale.

Baliyo Nepal will develop a campaign and activations program promoting the regular consumption of eggs and fortified porridge, involving national sports icons and other players from the national teams of cricket and other popular sports identified.


Project: Promoting maize cultivation with buyback arrangement, in Belaka Municipality, Udayapur district

Partnership Description:

Nepal Agricultural Market Development Programme, branded as Sahaj, is a market development project that aims to contribute to increasing the income of poor men and women in rural areas. It does this by facilitating changes in services, inputs and product markets, which in turn increases the competitiveness of farmers and small enterprises. Sahaj is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) under the Agreement between Governments of Nepal and Switzerland.

Under this partnership, Shreenagar Agro Farm will work with farmers of Belaka Municipality by providing them with knowledge on post-harvest handling practices and procuring maize grain for them. The broad objectives of this collaboration are to promote maize cultivation commercialization in Belaka Municipality in Public Private Partnership model by strengthening the input, service and product market


Project: Easing Access to Finance through Agriculture Value Chain Financing in poultry (AVCF)

Partnership with: Business and Finance Consulting (BFC), Switzerland

Partnership Description:

In the framework of the “Sustainable Economic Development in Rural Areas” program in Nepal (SEDRA), funded by the German Development Bank KfW, Global IME Bank and Shreenagar Agro Farm have signed the partnership agreement on agricultural value chain financing (AVCF). The AVCF business model is designed and implemented with the assistance of the Swiss-based consultancy Business and Finance Consulting (BFC).

The partnership agreement is a continuous effort to support development and financing of the MSME sector in Nepal. Specifically, farmers, entrepreneurs will be offered an opportunity to access financing from Global IME Bank for high quality input supplies and technical services from Shreenagar Group. The AVCF will be piloted in Kathmandu valley and Rupandehi district and expanded to other areas based on its initial outcome.


Project: Innovation Xchange (Frontiers Innovators)

Partnership with: Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s innovationXchange, and delivered by Second Muse

Partnership Description

Frontiers Innovators is an initiative of the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s innovationXchange, and delivered by Second Muse. Frontier Innovators recognizes the important role that the private sector plays in tackling policy development problems and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Shreenagar is one of the fifteen   winners of the iXc Frontier Innovators initiative selected from over 700 applications across the Asia Pacific Region. These selected businesses will also be supported to scale their impact and continue to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals across the region. Shreenagar is to utilizing the award money to digitize its information dissemination platform targeting small holder farmers, improve information system mechanism at all levels of the company and pilot a retail outlet with farm fresh products branded as “Golden Fresh Mart” to support farmers in market linkage.


Project: One egg a day to children in selected community schools

Partnership with: OneEgg supported by Cobb-Vantress, Inc.

Partnership Description

OneEgg Nepal, in partnership with OneEgg.Org initiative is supported by Cobb-Vantress, Inc. We will be actively involved in awareness campaigns on the importance of one egg a day, distributing eggs as balanced mid-day meal for children in selected community schools in need in Lalitpur and Rupandehi in Nepal. One Egg’s mission is to provide needed protein to young children in the forms of eggs. Protein is essential for cognitive and physical development, especially in early years. Along with egg distribution, we also plan to raise awareness and enhance skills on poultry farming.  


Project: Collaboration with “Suaahara , Good nutrition” , HKI  implemented project in Nepal  

Partnership with: “Suaahara, Good nutrition” , HKI  implemented project.  It’s only a collaboration, without any direct funding support.

Partnership Description

We are supporting woman village model farmers (VMF) developed and trained by “Suaahara “ (Good nutrition)HKI Nepal implemented project. Suaahara has created 3000 woman VMF but now they are looking for private sector’s intervention to make these small holder woman farmers more resilient and sustainable where Shreenagar will step in and work them to empower them and make them more sustainable teaching them the farming with enterprising skill. We will also put our effort to make them smart farmers equipped with digital training and knowledge in improved farm management so that they start enjoying farming with new technology and innovation

Project:  Shree Kisan Innovation Hub: Empowering farmers through Knowledge

Partnership with: Asia Innovative Farmers Activity (AIFA), Winrock International-USAID

Partnership Description

“Shree Kisan Innovation Hub” which provides practical innovative knowledge and services for farmers, agri-innovators, agri-preneurs and researchers involved in agriculture. Shree Kisan Innovation Hub is supported by Winrock International and implemented in partnership with Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), R & D Innovative Solution Pvt. Ltd.  and “SMART KRISHI”  as thematic partners. Shree Kisan Innovation Hub will be knowledge partner for the proposed project.

Shree Kisan Innovation Hub was established to empower farmers and entrepreneurs for sustainable development through innovative ideas, information, technology, services and partnerships. Shree Kisan Innovation Hub aims to produce model farmers termed "Shree - Superior Kisan-Farmer." These Shree Kisan will inspire the best farming practices for other farmers and communities to follow. The purpose of the hub is to transform Nepal's agricultural sector and highlight the many business opportunities created through the adoption of new technologies.


Project: “Shreenagar Agricenter” providing technical service to farmers

Partnership with:  “Connect to Grow” supported by DFID, UK

Partnership Description

This business model consisted of Shreenagar and lark India as key partners working together to improve the quality of feed , enhance its availability, provide better  technical services and market linkage to boost feed sales and increase farmers income.  Key Activities of the proposed business model consisted of operating integrated service /marketing centres/depots with primary product as feed along with other additional services. These marketing centres with brand name “Shreenagar Agricenter” are integrated “one stop shops” catering to various needs (quality product and other services) of the farmers. Establishing Shreenagar Agricenter will market feed, chicks and along with technical services for poultry farmers and feed and technical services for other livestocks in Kavre, Sindhupalchowk and Kathmandu .

The Shreenagar Agri-centers uniqueness are “One Stop Solution” to farmers to reach to farmers of deprived sector and boost our feed sales.  It also included technical support, improvement in management information system (MIS), quality check, regular backstopping on business and marketing strategic plans. The project has provided services to around 1500 farmers in the project period.


Project: “SPRING accelerator cohort 2”

Supported by: DFID, USAID, AUS Aid and Nike Foundation

Partnership Description

 It was an acceleration support for launching business prototype targeting adolescent girls from low income groups for improving nutritional status through egg nutrition.  It is a small grant, specifically for awareness in schools and launch of branded of eggs “Sunaulo Anda” in the market.


Project: Poultry Knowledge Book Preparation and training to lead farmers

Supported by: Save the Children/SABAL Program

Partnership Description

Preparation of poultry knowledge book, record book and flip chart with pictorial presentation and training to lead farmers in Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk districts to support in the overall development of the poultry value chain.


Project: Low-Cost Demand Fish Feeder

Supported by: USAID /Winrock International

Partnership Description

Using Simple bucket feeder to feed fish as per their feed requirement. This technology is introduced for the first time in Nepal by Shreenagar in collaboration with Asia Innovative Farmer’s Action (AIFA) , a Winrock implemented program. It is an efficient, simple and farmer friendly technology. It is also promoted by Prime Minister Agriculture Modernization Project in its Fish Zone in Jhapa, Rupandehi, Bara and Janakpur.


Project: Study on Fishery Association of Nepal (FAN) as a Facilitator for Market Development of Water Fish Sector.

Supported by : SAMARTH – NMDP, a DFID funded Market system  development program

Partnership Description

Shreenagar Agro conducted a study on Nepalese Aquaculture market system and presented detailed strategy report to the Fishery Association of Nepal (FAN) as a facilitator for market development of water fish sector. The objectives of the study were to FAN taking facilitator role for sustainable development of Nepalese aquaculture through its strategic intervention; sharing field level information, problems, feedbacks and developments to key enabling environment institutions for rational policy making; strengthening the current market system by linking and changing behavior of core market actors by knowledge sharing; providing tool for livelihood to several small holder farmers through a number of formation; increasing productivity of Nepalese aquaculture sector by supplying quality inputs; and technology, technical assistance and entrepreneurship development.
